Virtual Design
The interest in virtual design continues to grow. Houses, land, clothes, furniture are all turned into 3D digital files that can be experienced and explored in virtual reality. Digital environments can also be overlaid onto the real world to create an augmented reality (AR) environment in apps. We all have the possibility of living through AR through our real environments, now that the entire world has been mapped for AR interface. Developments such as NFTs offer endless possibilities to monetise digital design and will open the door to one of the greatest creative renaissances in human history. Augmented reality (AR) enables the virtual world to be geographically mapped onto the real world. This allows users to create, discover and monetise AR content. We are entering a new design age freed from traditional aesthetics.
Why We Need Novelty
Novelty is a human need and something we live for. The brain responds to new experiences of any kind by releasing dopamine, which stimulates us to investigate further; novelty helps us learn, the brain seeks it out. The Synchrony colour narrative illustrates that developments in the digital world have the potential to fulfil the human need for novelty without harming the planet. It is a domain where we can explore new worlds, finding plenty of new learning experiences. The digital world offers opportunities for every individual to give shape to an ideal world.
Collaboration
The Synchrony is a collective, virtual, shared space, created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical reality and physically persistent virtual space, including the sum of all virtual worlds, augmented reality, and the Internet. The Synchrony colour narrative mixes references and draws inspiration from music, video games, eSports, Japanese anime, clothing, soft toys and other objects, combined with visual information on the Internet and digital tools.

The palette
The Synchrony colour palette is multilayered. It masterfully combines human, artificial and even otherworldly tones. It features starkly contrasting black and white; these two opposites turn shapes into contrasting masses. The light pink and grey add some softness and the vibrantly-hued gradients of yellow, green and pink provide an artificial touch to the palette. Dark red, green and blue are darker base colours.
Key Colour
The colour Hue is a bright lilac purple. It glows and shines in the physical and digital worlds alike.
Colourways
Bi-colour
The bi-colour colourways are combinations that are unusual. They are clashing colours that energize each other. Power is injected by bright tones and the darker tones represent the void, a space for experimentation.
Energy
Zing is a powerful tone. It spices up every colour combination and gives it positive energy.
Digital Motion
This colourway is soft but not sweet. The use of the green Thrill colour and the Luminous blue makes it new and fresh.
Immersive
The lilac and purple tones combined create a mysterious atmosphere. In immersive spaces, it feels both comforting and otherworldly. In shiny materials it is rich and elegant, in matt absorbing materials it can be sportive and casual.
