A new kind of freedom

Constructed Selves

The materials of A New Kind of Freedom embody a rebellious shift through texture, tactility, and contrast. Identify is an outspoken textile, a bold stripe in a fresh, high-shine material that refuses to be overlooked. It captures the spirit of self-expression and clarity, standing as a declaration of presence and individuality.

The second material, Crafted, speaks to the fluidity between tradition and reinvention. A knitted structure moves between openness and enclosure, reflecting the balance between vulnerability and protection. It emphasizes the importance of materiality and making in fostering connection and meaning.

The third material, a collage, embodies multiplicity, creativity and layered meaning. It mirrors the process of reassembling ideas, histories, and perspectives into something new. By piecing together different elements, it challenges singular narratives and instead embraces the richness of contradiction, nuance, and creative freedom.
