Roots of renewal

Circular Intelligence

Roots of Renewal explores material innovation and ecological balance, advocating for a shift away from extractive consumption toward regenerative design. The materials embody this philosophy, each reflecting a different aspect of nature’s organic resilience. The first material is a tactile textile that mirrors the organic imperfections found in the natural world. This material reintroduces the idea that true sustainability is not about perfection but about embracing the complexity of living systems.

The second material, Coated, demonstrates how biological processes and traditional knowledge can shape the future of design. A bioresin coating on wood, infused with pigments derived from plant roots, connects craftsmanship with regenerative cycles.

The final material, a fine non-woven copper, reflects the dual nature of metal as both durable and conductive. Copper, associated with energy transfer and protection, is reimagined here in a delicate form that speaks to adaptability and transformation. Its non-woven structure challenges conventional uses of metal, suggesting new possibilities for lightweight, flexible applications.

True renewal begins when we design with nature, not as a resource to extract from but as a system to regenerate with.
