Trade knowledge, white t-shirts & listening

White T-shirts Specialty Store

#FFFFFFT, located in Tokyo, Japan, is the world’s first store dedicated exclusively to plain white T-shirts. Celebrating the white T-shirt as a simple yet profound universal language, the store curates a selection from both Japanese and international brands.

Each shirt is treated like a unique expression, inviting visitors to look, touch, and experience the subtle differences, much like tasting wine or coffee. The store does not have an online shop and is only open on weekends, making visiting feel like a discovery. See more here

What do Teenagers See On Their Phones?

The documentary Social Studies by Lauren Greenfield examines how societal pressures shape young people’s identities in the digital age. It shows the unseen world of the content of young people’s phones and the often superficial, yet deeply complex, lives of young people.

A group of teenagers agrees to allow Lauren to record the things they do on their phones for a year-long experiment. To see the world they see through their phones and to understand the impact of their algorithms in developing themselves. The documentary is honest, at times upsetting, and tells a lot about the Internet that Gen-Z finds itself on. See more here

Runher Magazine

Runher is the first quarterly print magazine devoted entirely to women’s running, a space long overlooked in traditional media. Despite making up a significant share of the sport, women’s athletics still receive just 15% of all media coverage.

As the momentum behind women’s sports continues, cultural and commercial interest is sparking new initiatives. With 75% of its content created by women, the magazine shows perspectives that contribute to running culture as a whole. See more here

Listening Together

At Milan Design Week, Stone Island presented Friendly Pressure: Studio One, an immersive sonic installation that transforms sound into a tactile experience shaped by the space itself. The exhibit mixes retro elements with modern sound technology, using custom speakers and unity horns to create rich, high-quality audio.

Sitting together and listening to the sounds was an invitation to slow down, feel the music in your body, and share the moment with others. Listen to a moment here

Trade Knowledge

As tariffs and instability reshape global markets, learning more about trade helps make sense of the economic shifts affecting everything from prices to politics. This book explores the stories, emotions, and politics that can make global trade complexity hard to understand.

The book shows how trade treaties shape everyday life, affecting what we eat, the jobs we have, and even gender dynamics, and why understanding them helps us make smarter decisions in a global economy. Read more here

Osaka 2025 Pavillion

The Resonance of Lives project at Expo 2025 Osaka invites visitors to imagine a future shaped by collaboration, mutual respect, and shared stewardship of the planet. Centered on the theme of Better Co-Being, the installation explores how deeper connections with each other, nature, and the world can guide us toward a more harmonious tomorrow.

The gridded structure is built from steel and designed without roofs or walls, intended to emulate clouds over the trees. Visitors form groups to experience the forest together and connect during the tour. See more here
